October 17, 2014 the combined Memorial and North High School’s FFA put on Farm City Days in the auxiliary gym. Farm City Days is put on to share the FFA’s knowledge about agriculture, the agriculture business and show people where some of their food comes from.
Farm City Days also allows FFA members to share information about FFA. “My favorite part of FFA is sharing information about agriculture and its business,” says Karley Myren, 11. The gym was filled with different information tables from universities and colleges such as UW-River Falls and CVTC sharing their agriculture programs. There was even a table all about butter.
Additionally, a tent in the parking lot held animals ranging from a few small bunnies to larger farm animals like goats, a pony, and llamas. Farm City Days is a great annual event to attend if you are interested in the agriculture business.
If you are interested in joining FFA they meet the second Monday of every month in the new distance learning lab, Room 1870. The FFA adviser is Ms. Hildebrandt.
