Keeley Neevel is an 18-year-old senior at Memorial High School. She has an older brother named Shane who is 19 years old. She is planning to go to Viterbo University to get a degree in nursing. She has played both soccer and hockey at Memorial. Unfortunately, Viterbo University does not have a hockey team to, otherwise she would play in college also.

“The hardest thing about high school was getting used to studying for tests, and doing proper work. It was something that took me a while to get used to,” Neevel said while talking about some of the pluses and minuses of High school. “One of the best things about high school was meeting new people; some of them could really go through high school helping you when you need it the most,” Another thing that she liked about high school was the band trips.

“The band trips were really fun too, getting to travel all over the state and the country and perform with some of your friends. When else would you get the opportunity to do that?” Neevel asked. She plays the French horn and says that it is a lot of fun.

Neevel has some advice for students who were attending high school as well as the incoming freshmen class. “Don’t wait until senior year to study, turn in homework, and actually do well in class. By then it would be too late, you need to start early and make sure that you have a good idea of what you got yourself into,” she said, adding “And another thing that is important to remember is to have fun!”
